January 2005 brought heavy rainfall to the Ohio River Valley causing rivers to flow out of their banks.
Particularly hard hit was Livingston and McCracken Counties, of Western Kentucky. Hundreds of volunteers
helped to build a levee in Smithland, Kentucky. The Shadow Angel Foundation provided food and drinks to
the volunteers. The foundation assisted other volunteers at the Red Cross Shelter.
