Beau Dodson sits alongside Rick Shanklin from the Paducah, National Weather Service Office and a local pastor
On May 6, 2004, the first anniversary of the Massac County tornado was marked with a remembrance service. Beau was asked, by the National Weather Service, to speak on behalf of The Shadow Angel Foundation and reported on both the "Terror in the Night" book and the "Teddy Bear" Project. More than one hundred individuals from throughout the Tri-County area attended, many having been victims of the storm itself.
Others who spoke at the service included Cal Sisto, a local minister, a representative of the National Weather Service, Shane Parker, Emergency Management Officials, and Julie Kohn who spoke about what her family went through during and after the tornado.
